Job Description
Als Senior Elastic Engineer zult u:
- Systemen zelfstandig (geautomatiseerd) installeren en configureren volgens de gestelde vereisten zodat Elastic soepel draait.
- De nieuwste technieken toepassen voor applicatiedeployment en automatisering met behulp van tools zoals Ansible en Python.
- Het Elasticplatform en de bijbehorende applicaties beheren totdat het platform succesvol wordt overgedragen aan het managementteam.
- Zorgen voor een naadloze kennisoverdracht door platformbeheerpraktijken te documenteren en samen te werken met het ontvangende team.
- Automatiseringsprocessen optimaliseren en het Elasticcluster monitoren om de prestaties en betrouwbaarheid te waarborgen.
- Problemen oplossen verstoringen verhelpen en bijdragen aan de voortdurende verbetering van het systeem.
- Zorgen voor een veilige implementatie van systemen in lijn met de beste praktijken in de industrie.
Wat u meebrengt:
- Minimaal 5 jaar aantoonbare ervaring in een senior/lead rol op tactisch en operationeel niveau.
- Een afgeronde HBO/BC (bachelor) opleiding of minimaal 5 jaar aantoonbare werkervaring op HBO werk en denkniveau.
- Elastic Engineercertificering is een vereiste.
- Minimaal 3 jaar ervaring met de deployment en het beheer van applicaties.
- Minimaal 2 jaar aantoonbare ervaring in het bouwen en beheren van Elasticclusters.
- Minimaal 2 jaar ervaring met netwerken virtualisatie en Linuxbesturingssystemen.
- Ervaring in het beheren van grote complexe ITinfrastructuren binnen grote organisaties (10k medewerkers).
U dient in staat te zijn om:
- De deployment en configuratie van Elasticclusters effectief te automatiseren.
- De prestaties en schaalbaarheid van Elasticapplicaties te optimaliseren.
- Aantoonbare ervaring te hebben met het gebruik van Logstash Ansible en Python om operaties te stroomlijnen.
- Een naadloze kennisoverdracht naar het ontvangende team te co rdineren en ervoor te zorgen dat de ondersteuning blijft doorgaan.
- Problemen snel op te lossen en verstoringen in de platformoperaties te minimaliseren.
- Beveiligingsmaatregelen te begrijpen en toe te passen in het beheer van het Elasticplatform.
- Leiderschap te tonen in het optimaliseren en monitoren van Elasticclusters.

As a DevOps Engineer, you will: Work within a greenhouse engineering team, typically composed of 6-8 skilled professionals. Design, develop, and implement technical solutions in accordance with project requirements and roadmap. Prepare and execute technical work packages, ensuring quality and timely delivery. Focus on software development using C/C++, with an emphasis on modern build systems (e.g., Bazel, Blaze, CMake). Contribute to the integration and release processes, including using tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Apply DevSecOps principles and maintain a strong quality mindset throughout the development lifecycle. What You Bring to the Table: 8-10 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on algorithms and compilers. Proficiency in modern build systems (Bazel, Blaze, and CMake). Experience in caching and build distribution capabilities. Solid understanding of general software design and development principles, including algorithm implementation and test-driven development. Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with cloud tools such as Terraform, Azure, or GCP. Strong knowledge of Source Code Management (SCM) systems and Git (e.g., GitHub, ClearCase, SVN). Experience in automated software integration and release processes using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions. Background in software development in similar environments, such as embedded systems or RHEL, is a plus. You should possess the ability to: Work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality. Collaborate effectively within a team, leading by example and fostering a quality-driven mindset. Listen actively, communicate openly, and present challenges and solutions clearly to stakeholders. Adapt quickly to evolving requirements and provide solutions that align with the overall technical strategy.
