Job Description

AbbVie Scandinavia is looking for a Medical Advisor in Neuroscience/Therapeutic Neurotoxins (TNT)

We are looking for a Medical Advisor who will work with our portfolio in Neuroscience with primary focus on therapeutic neurotoxins. The candidate will represent the affiliates medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned product(s) and indication(s)poststroke spasticity cervical dystonia and more).

This position is a Scandinavian role. Office location: Stockholm Copenhagen or Oslo.
This is an externally focused role and ability to travel is expected.

 

Tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with experts and academic centers; attend scientific congresses arrange advisory groups discussion forums and symposia.
  • Deliver scientific presentations and medical education to healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare scientific/medical information on request.
  • Review and approval of advertising material. Ensure that medical/scientific content is correct and in accordance with regulations and internal guidelines.
  • Be a medical/scientific expert in the crossfunctional Brand Team and provide medical/scientific input to medical affairs strategies marketing strategy and commercial initiatives across Scandinavia.
  • Contribute to evidence generation by identifying evidence gaps and by initiating supervising and following up clinical trials and medical projects (internal and external collaborations) e.g. Phase IV RWE observational registry and epidemiological studies. 

 

Ideal candidate:

  • Collaborative teamoriented approach able to develop and support relationships across the organization as well as with key external stakeholders and the healthcare community at large.
  • Sound judgment strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to get things done.
  • Flexible and able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert scientific knowledge within the assigned therapeutic area/product and an ability to hold high level scientific discussions.
  • High customer orientation.
  • Strong commitment to compliance with the relevant rules and procedures and to scientific quality and integrity.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills including an ability to clearly and inspiringly communicating complex scientific concepts.

Qualifications :

  • Advanced university degree in Medicine Pharmacy Life Science or equivalent (e.g. MD PhD MSc PharmD etc). Research experience is considered as an advantage.
  • Experience within the field of therapeutic toxins neuroscience and/or rehabilitation medicine (research or clinical practice) will be considered as an advantage.
  • Previous Medical Affairs/Pharma industry experience is not required but will be considered as an advantage.
  • Fluency in written and oral English as well as in one Scandinavian language is required.
  • Willingness to travel.
