Job Description

  • Fantastic opportunity for an Operational leader to support Jetconnect pilots across New Zealand 
  • Permanent Full time role based in Auckland

The Deputy Manager Flight Crew Operations Jetconnect has responsibility for all Jetconnect pilots across the Auckland and Wellington bases (including Christchurch domicile pilots). This role is responsible for managing the strategic and day to day operational and people elements of Flight crew for both bases.  

Primarily the role will manage standards as well as driving a performance culture by developing a high performing team and an engaged workforce. The role will lead face to face communication with crew drive pilot development and leadership and assess teams against performance criteria and measures. This role will work with the Manager Flight Crew Operations in developing and implementing local projects that support change and an efficient operation. 

The role is a proactive people management role which focuses on creating an inclusive culture and developing a high performing customer focused team. The role is also responsible for Base Operations continuous improvement initiatives the operational performance of the base and all aspects of the employee lifecycle.  

 The Deputy Manager is the main conduit between Jetconnect and frontline pilots. The responsibilities of this role include providing support feedback and development opportunities for Pilots. The Deputy Manager will focus on increasing Pilot interactions developing relationships increasing trust and ensuring a safe and efficient flying operation. 

Youll have
