Founded in 1988 Excelia is one of Frances leading higher education groups. With an international focus it encompasses a business school a tourism school and a communication school. The group has 6000 students across its three campuses: La Rochelle CentreVal de Loire (ToursOrlans) and ParisCachan. The school is strongly committed to research. Its active and dynamic faculty of 110 permanent teacherresearchers is organized into five teaching and research departments. Excelia focuses on three interdisciplinary research areas: Sustainable Development and CSR Tourism Management and Agility Innovation and Digitalization (AID).
Since 1999 sustainable development has been a strategic pillar of both research and teaching at Excelia. The school conducts research with a strong societal impact particularly through its CSRfocused research institute the IRSI (Institute for Societal Responsibility through Innovation). The IRSI has established three main objectives: advancing research in management sciences related to CSR and sustainable development promoting CSR through organizational support and student education and contributing to the evolution of societal responsibility frameworks.
Excelia Business Schools Finance Control Management and Information SystemsDepartment is Hiring an Assistant Professor in Finance or Accounting.
This position is primarily based at the CentreVal de Loire campus (Tours/Orlans) with occasional travel to the La Rochelle and Paris campuses. The successful candidate is anticipated to start as soon as possible depending on their availability.
Required Profile / Qualifications
The candidate (M/F) must hold a PhD or Doctorate in Management Sciences and demonstrate research potential evidenced by publications and/or manuscripts submitted to recognized academic journals (FNEGE ABS ABDC FT rankings) as well as participation in prestigious international conferences in the field (AIM AFM AFFI EURAM etc.).
Having international experience or a doctoral degree acquired overseas is considered highly beneficial.
A demonstrated ability to implement innovative strategies in course design and instructional methodologies is expected.
The candidate is required to exhibit proficiency in teaching both French and English at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Depending on the candidates profile there may be additional responsibilities such as managing an MSc program and developing partnerships with the socioeconomic environment.
Compensation
Salary will be determined according to the candidates experience and qualifications in line with Excelia Business Schools remuneration system. Financial incentives for research publications will also be provided.
