The Performance Computing Power (PCP) group is seeking an experienced Digital IC Designer to join our expanding business focused on power management and multiphase solutions for CPUs and custom ASIC power.
Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Design:
- Develop debug and verify digital designs in pre and post silicon environment
- Write tests to verify bulk design intent as per specification.
- Learn develop and improve scripts to facilitate design automation flows.
- Manage assigned design blocks in design requirements architecture and implementation
- Debug & Documentation:
- Assist with debugging toplevel test benches and running RTL and gatelevel simulations.
- Develop comprehensive block design documentation.
- Design Reviews:
- participate in key design reviews ensuring the completion of various checklists.
- Problem Solving:
- Document device errata develop workaround solutions and implement engineering changes as needed.
- Cultural Leadership: Embody and promote Renesas culture and values.
Qualifications :
- Experience: Over 1 year of digital design experience in power management and/or data conversion and/or FSM for switching voltage regulators and DrMOS
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Computer Engineering Computer Science or related discipline.
- RTL Design: Fluent in Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL for digital CMOS circuit design.
- Debugging: Proven ability to debug both RTL and gatelevel simulations.
- Design Constraints: Experience developing design constraints and handing off to P&R teams.
- Timing Closure & LowPower Design: Proficient in STA and timing closure as well as lowpower design techniques including clock and power gating (UPF).
- IndustryStandard Protocols: Experience with industrystandard protocols (e.g. AMBA I2C).
- Language Skills: Proficiency in written and verbal English is mandatory.
