Job Description
- Perform highthroughput phenotyping in an organized and timely manner
- Perform Cell Culture of Primary Cells and complete various Cell Based Assays independently
- Perform highthroughput sample testing in an organized and timely manner
- Maintain excellent aseptic technique and ensure sterility/quality of cell culture and assay outcomes
- Work safely within BSL2 laboratory environment
- Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks prepare precise technical report summaries any necessary analysis and maintain appropriate documentation
Basic Laboratory management multitasking and experimental troubleshooting
Qualifications :
- Educational background: Bachelors degree or equivalent in scientific discipline with emphasis in genetics molecular biology biochemistry or related disciplines with 13 years of hands on experience
- Training and experience with Cell Culture (Primary Cells Mammalian Cell Culture maintaining cell lines etc)
- Working knowledge of and/or skills in cell biology/genetics field (pipetting aseptic technique preparing media cell based assay work nucleic acid isolation library prep cytokinetic assay etc)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Comfort working within a fastpaced lab environment
- Ability to perform basic dilution and stoichiometric calculations
- Ability to work independently with ambiguity and as part of a team selfmotivation adaptability and a positive attitude
Attention to detail and good oral and written communication skills required
Additional Information :
Position is fulltime onsite MonFri 8:00am5:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Kalamazoo MI are encouraged to apply.
