Palo Alto Networks SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) group is looking for a seasoned and accomplished leader to design develop and deliver next generation technologies within our SDWAN team. You will be part of a worldclass software engineering team that works on various groundbreaking technologies in the SDWAN area. You will work with a multifunctional team of engineers solving interesting problems in the SDWAN area. We want passionate leaders who love to code and build great products. Your Impact
- Design develop and implement highly scalable software features on our SDWAN solution
- Design and implementation of large distributed systems
- Database design and implementation for custom use cases graph and timeseries databases & inmemory databases
- Work with different development and quality assurances groups to achieve the best quality
- Suggest and implement improvements to the development process. Work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues
- Mentor and coach team members
Qualifications :
Your Experience
- 10 years of careerlevel software development experience
- Strong leadership skills with a cando attitude
- High energy and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Enjoys working with many different teams with strong collaboration and communications skills
- Experience building highly available scalable and performant systems
- Fast learner and eager to absorb new emerging technologies
- Experience with Large Scale Distributed systems with service oriented architecture
- Good exposure and experience with REST API definition and implementation
- Experience with building and running containerized applications in distributed environments such as kubernetes
- Experience with messaging infra like Kafka AWS SQS
- Extensive handson programming skills in Java and Python
- Knowledge of multicore/multiprocess/multithreaded programming
- Cloud platforms such as AWS Azure GCE Kubernetes Virtualization such as ESXi KVM HyperV
- Good experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Application layer protocol experience with one or more of the following HTTP SMTP SIP
- Experience and exposure to networking technologies like TCP/IP routing protocols DNS DHCP would be an added advantage
- M.E./B.E. degree in Computer Science/Engineering
