Job Description
We are looking for a senior software engineer with a passion for enabling engineers to be their best.
Our team Engineering Experience is part of the Developer Enablement Squad.
We focus on engineers and try to make continual improvements in 2 areas: productivity and culture. Those are pretty vague concepts so lets break them down:
On productivity our vision is Empowering teams to ship at the speed of a startup with the security and compliance of a bank; we want to get to the point where our engineers have a rock solid platform and seamless team collaboration where they can iterate quickly and ship impactful changes with confidence.

How we work
We operate on a strong belief in automation programmatic implementation and reusable design. Were looking for people who can step back and think holistically about the ecosystem but also follow through and help implement the design; drawing on the resources across the rest of the platform tribe.
As we grow the complexity of the organisation grows and it gets harder to move at the speed of a startup. We need to sustain this growth by continuously iterating on the services we run with a focus on availability security and ease of use. Were looking for an engineer with relevant experience who can understand complex requirements and deliver simple solutions to help our teams achieve our mission with speed and confidence.
What will you be working on
Engineering insights is what provides leads with valuable information on where to invest and our engineering pulse.
Contributing in user research sessions with Engineers throughout the company. Gathering and taking action on insights to pave the future of engineering in Wise.
The developer portal is the home and landing page for our hundreds of engineers daily. We are building what helps them what needs their attention and to build a thriving engineering culture and ecosystem.
Exactly what youll be doing day to day will vary as our team looks at the big picture challenges we see across all of engineering!
Qualifications :
You have interest in working in a DevEx team or similar developer enabling environment.
You must be a proficient engineer with a passion for deriving insights and metrics to enhance developer experience through a dataoriented approach.
You are adept at creating data pipelines and dashboards extracting insights and identifying signals that could significantly impact our mission.
Youre motivated by understanding engineers pain points frustrations needs and wants of others and have a desire to significantly improve productivity culture and how much they love working here.
You are a senior engineer and comfortable in Java or Go.
You have experience working with relational (RDBMS) and NoSQL databases but you do not need to be an expert.
You love automated testing and understand the testing pyramid and trade offs between the layers.
