This service is a direct recruitment which means that the recruitment process takes place through Bravura and you will be employed directly by CEVA Logistics. The position offers an excellent opportunity to step into a leadership role within the automation field while contributing to a global logistics leader.
Tasks and responsibilities
In the role of Automation Support Team Lead you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of CEVAs automated systems. Your responsibilities will encompass both handson technical work and leadership duties ensuring high system availability and effective coordination across teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee and coordinate the daily functionality of automated systems such as the Vanderlande Pocket Sorter Returns Conveyors and Vanriet Parcel Sorter. This involves monitoring system performance addressing any disruptions and ensuring seamless operations.
- Collaborate closely with the Automation Manager and suppliers to plan implement and follow up on maintenance schedules. Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and with minimal impact on operations.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system availability and efficiency. Log errors systematically identify recurring issues and propose improvement measures to enhance overall system reliability.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Automation Facilities and IT Support during day shifts. Facilitate clear and effective communication among teams to resolve issues promptly and ensure smooth workflow.
- Create update and maintain essential documentation including work instructions standard operating procedures (SOPs) and spare parts inventories. This ensures that processes are welldocumented and resources are easily accessible.
- Mentor and train team members to build their technical competence and ensure adherence to CEVAs 5S methodology and quality standards. Support a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Collaborate with IT support and key users to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automation systems.
This role combines technical expertise with strong communication skills requiring an individual who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Education experience and personal characteristics
Education:
- Higher education in automation or technology or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Minimum 1year work experience in automation within warehousing ecommerce production retail or a similar field.
- At least 3 years experience in automation as a service technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (e.g. Ultimo).
Personal characteristics:
