Job Description
Shift options are 4:15pm 9pm or 5:30pm 10:15pm including alternate weekends. Please note training & meetings take place during the day on weekdays so we appreciate your flexibility for this.
At Home Instead we understand that delivering topquality care cant be done in just 15minute visits and no one should feel rushed. Thats why we offer a minimum of 1hour visits along with appropriate travel time so you can give your clients the attention they deserve with mileage reimbursement included. We carefully pair our Care Professionals with clients based on skills personality and interests. For all initial visits with new clients youll be introduced with the support of a colleague ensuring you have the opportunity to truly understand your client and their needs.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Home Care Assistant:
- Support with household tasks such as tidying cleaning and laundry.
- Make or assist to make your clients favourite evening meals.
- Offer companionship and social support engaging with your clients hobbies and getting to know what they enjoy most.
- Support with personal care tasks such as showering and getting ready for bed.
- Take your client out to places of their choice e.g. to the local shops.
- Write accurate daily notes and report any concerns as per company procedure.
- Administer medication and record appropriately.
Requirements:
- Experience is not required due to our comprehensive inhouse training. However any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
- You must have a full drivers licence and your own vehicle.
- You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
- Must have a caring friendly personality and be happy to have a chat.
- Must be available to work at least 3 weekday evenings as well as alternate weekends.
