Location: Hybrid London office presence required
Were inviting experienced Senior Software Engineers to join us to leverage your deep technical expertise to help shape the next generation of Goustos digital experience.
This nurturing Senior Software Engineer role embraces flexibility allowing you to work where you feel most inspired and effective whether thats in the comfort of your home or in our welcoming London Shepherds Bush office. We value the warmth of inperson collaboration and invite team members to join us in the office twice a week fostering crossteam connections participating in inclusive allhands gatherings and providing technical leadership.

Whilst our techstack includes using TypeScript Node React and AWS (amongst others) we are happy to consider Senior Software Engineers with a background using any programming language(s) provided you are happy to learn and work with the technologies/languages used at Gousto.
We believe in nurturing innovation and dedicate 10% of our time to exploring new tech ideas. Our regular brown bag sessions create a warm space for knowledge sharing. Were also committed to building connections within the wider tech community by hosting welcoming meetups sharing our experiences at events and offering insights through our blog.

Core Responsibilities
- Implement highquality scalable and efficient user experiences in a modular and testdriven environment with a focus on performance security and maintainability
- Obsessing over the quality & performance of customerfacing interfaces
- Supporting and collaborating with other engineers as well as nontechnical members of the team
- Mentoring junior members of the team helping them grow their skills and take on more responsibility
Who You Are
- Extensive experience in building of performant responsive and secure applications using TypeScript React & Node
- Strong knowledge and an interest to follow TestDriven Development (TDD) practices in a paired programming environment (we do this a lot!)
- Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns and design systems
- Excellent ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders
- Proven track record of mentoring and supporting junior engineers
- Exposure to CI/CD tooling to responsibly run applications in production
