We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead AV Technician to oversee and execute audiovisual projects within our commercial integration division. The ideal candidate will lead a crew to ensure the successful completion of installation tasks system configurations and client trainings. This role requires a deep technical understanding of AV systems strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills to ensure projects are delivered on time and exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Project Execution: Lead and manage a crew of 34 technicians in the installation of AV systems ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Installation Tasks: Conduct a variety of installation tasks including but not limited to cable pulling connector installation projector and screen support structure installations and mounting projectors.
- System Configuration and Testing: Oversee the configuration of AV systems including control systems (such as Crestron and AMX) and conduct thorough testing to ensure systems are fully functional.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during and postinstallation ensuring any issues are promptly resolved.
- Client Training: Conduct training sessions for clients on the operation and maintenance of AV systems ensuring they are comfortable and satisfied with the technology.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrate strong leadership and mentorship to technicians enhancing team capabilities and promoting professional growth.
- Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients onsite addressing concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction in the absence of the Project Manager.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive job documentation including installation reports and configuration details.
- Travel: Travel to various job sites as required to meet project needs.
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of AV systems including signal flow for audio video and control systems.
- Experience: Proven experience in AV system installation and configuration preferably with leadership responsibilities.
- Certifications: Crestron and AMX certifications highly desirable; CTS certification is a plus.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficient in the use of hand and power tools with a commitment to safety.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and client interactions.
- ProblemSolving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Project Management: Capable of managing tasks and deadlines ensuring project objectives are met.
- Drivers License: Valid drivers license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
