Must Haves:
- Minimum of 5yrs of experience in a North American accounting role.
- Advanced understanding of Canadian and US tax regulations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or equivalent accounting software.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills with a resultsdriven mindset.
- A proven ability to collaborate effectively with external partners and internal teams.
Nice to Haves:
- CPA CA or CMA certification is an asset.
- Construction accounting experience in construction or similar industry.
- Familiarity with WorkSafe BC financial reporting and bonding requirements.
- Proven ability to lead financial strategies during periods of company expansion.
- Experience in building scalable financial systems for growing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Managing Canadian and US taxes and ensuring compliance with regional regulations.
- Collaborating with external accounting firms to complete yearend tax filings.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly financial projections to support company growth.
- Analyzing project profitability sales performance and market trends for strategic insights.
- Developing and maintaining an accounting manual for consistent practices and processes.
- Overseeing detailed budget breakdowns for ongoing and future projects.
- Leading financial strategy and reporting initiatives to align with company goals.
- Supervising bookkeeping operations to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Processing accounts payable and receivable for a high volume of transactions.
- Reconciling accounts processing invoices and managing cash flow.
- Handling payroll for employees in Canada and the US.
- Managing banking transactions bonding paperwork and compliancerelated documentation.
- Preparing documents for insurance statutory declarations and regulatory filings.
- Assisting your team with data entry and basic financial reporting tasks.
