Job Description
Position: Clinical Psychologist
Location: Durban South Africa
Type: FullTime
Salary: Competitive
Start Date: Immediate
We are seeking a compassionate newly qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to providing highquality therapeutic services to individuals couples and families with a focus on helping clients overcome emotional and psychological challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments therapy and counseling to individuals and groups
- Develop tailored treatment plans based on individual needs
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Offer support for a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety depression trauma and relationship difficulties
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records
- Stay current with psychological research and best practices
- Ensure adherence to ethical and legal standards in the practice of psychology
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and valid PCNS
- Degree in Clinical Psychology
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (preferred)
- Proficient in psychological assessments and evidencebased therapeutic modalities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy patience and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience in working with diverse populations
- Knowledge of local mental health services and resources in Durban
