Job Description

Lab Technician: Driveline / EPS Testing

Role Overview: The Lab Technician is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining test equipment to support validation activities for automotive driveline components. This role ensures smooth testing processes accurate data collection and that components meet performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Preparation and Execution

  • Setup and Calibration: Prepare machines for testing activities including Fatigue Stand Breaker Wear GAF Hot/Cold Test Hydraulic Power Unit Tensile Test and Flywheel Impact systems.

  • Testing Operations: Operate equipment to conduct tests on driveline components ensuring adherence to specified protocols and safety standards.

  • Monitoring: Monitor test processes to ensure consistent operation and document any anomalies or irregularities.

Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they remain in optimal working condition.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with testing machines and coordinate with engineers or vendors for advanced repairs.

Data Collection and Reporting

  • Accurately record test data including measurements related to stress wear NVH and temperature resilience.

  • Prepare and organize test logs summaries and reports for review by engineers and management.

Lab Organization and Safety

  • Maintain a clean and organized lab environment ensuring all equipment and tools are stored correctly.

  • Adhere to safety protocols during equipment operation and chemical/material handling.

  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
