Our client is seeking a Service Manager to oversee and grow their Service department ensuring operational excellence customer satisfaction and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in RV service operations with proven experience in process improvement team leadership and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Service department operations including coordination with Parts and Warranty teams.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve efficiency maximize profitability and ensure consistency in service delivery.
- Lead train and mentor Technicians Service Advisors and other personnel to achieve individual and department goals.
- Monitor and analyze department performance metrics such as technician efficiency revenue per repair order and customer satisfaction to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain active communication with customers providing updates on service timelines progress and any unexpected changes.
- Collaborate with management and ownership to set and achieve departmental targets.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations company policies and safety standards.
- Foster a positive and teamoriented work environment that supports open communication and collaboration.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement in the department.
- Hire and onboard new team members to meet the growing demands of the Service department.
Qualifications:
- 57 years of experience in RV Service operations or 34 years of experience in Service Fixed Operations or Operations Management.
- If no management experience prior experience as an RV Technician or Service Advisor with the ability to step in and assist as needed is required.
- Strong understanding of Service department best practices including SOP development for areas such as service appointments customer followup shop efficiency upselling and repair order management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff to achieve departmental goals for revenue customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Experience in RV dealership operations is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both team members and customers.
- Proficient in using technology and software relevant to Service department management.
- Knowledge of cost control principles and the ability to manage departmental budgets effectively.
