Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Translate technical and contractual documents marketing materials internal policies procedures internal communications and clientfacing and internal documents from English into French (Canadian)
  • Review and update existing external and internal translated deliverables to maintain quality and accuracy
  • Ensure translation quality and accuracy as well as compliance with Quebecs language and francization requirements
  • Prioritize requests from various stakeholders and establish a translation request and support process using CAT tools and translation memories  
  • Develop and implement glossaries and guidelines and standards for translating J.S. Held material into French
  • Provide interpretation services where needed during meetings and other events
  • Provide input to J.S. Held team members on francization requirements and support company francization efforts

Qualifications :

Required Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the Office de Langue Franaise requirements and Francization requirements
  • Proven experience in translation and interpretation from English into French
  • Strong bilingual communication skills (English and French) proficiency in Spanish is a plus
  • Experience with clientfacing materials and contractual documents translations
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proven experience with CAT tools and terminology databases
  • Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with Englishspeaking stakeholders
  • Bachelors degree in Translation relevant certification or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook. Adobe FrameMaker and InDesign experience not required but preferred
  • Strong technology skills ability to learn new systems and tools quickly
  • Hybrid work on site in our Montral office preferred
