Job Description

We are currently looking for a Legal & Business Affairs Manager to join our Legal Team.

The team is composed of around ten people and is responsible for providing legal support advice and risk assessment to all teams. This comprises drafting and negotiation of all contracts relating to Deezers commercial activities throughout the world and the support and followup of prelitigation and litigation cases in that respect.

What you will do:

  • Special focus on the negotiation and drafting of contracts related to original content production (with authors artists contractors venue producers etc.);
  • Drafting and negotiating various contracts (service agreements distribution deals commercial partnerships) related to Deezers B2C and B2B activities;
  • Securing compliance of the business with intellectual property privacy and consumer protection regulations;
  • Providing legal advice and risk assessment to other teams.

Qualifications :

This role is excellent for a person with:

  • A Masters Degree in IP

  • 4 years of experience in IP similar position whether in a law firm or inhouse production company/media group/ad agency

  • A strong understanding of production challenges IP assets security (through rights acquisitions and assets exploitation)

  • High skills in negotiation project management business oriented

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills both in French and English and ability to interact with crossfunctional teams internally and third parties.
