Job Description: 

We are looking for a highly talented Mechanical Piping Engineer to work fulltime with a highly talented team in the USA (Remotely). Fuel System Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to our commitment to improving industrial and maintenance This role is based out of our Bucharest office with hybrid work permitted. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial processes (Oil & Gas petrochemical). 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to develop within and further the technical skills we bring to our new and existing client base. 

Qualified candidates will have a familiarity with design aspects for heavy industrial clients. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Fuel System Design: 

• Design and layout offuel pipelines(aboveground and underground) storage tanks and transfer systems for various fuel types (aviation jet fuel diesel ethanol motor gasoline). 

• Knowledge offuel receipt(tankers marine vessels) andfuel issue systems(aircraft ground vehicles). 

Surge Analysis & Pressure Management: 

• Proficiency insurge analysis softwareto mitigate pressure surges within fuel systems particularly inpiping systems. 

• Experience in adjustingpiping layoutsto prevent pressurerelated issues during system operation. 

Pipe Stress Analysis: 

• Familiarity withpipe stress analysissoftware to ensure compliance withASME B31.1(piping codes and standards). 

• Experience in designing piping systems to account forthermal expansionvibration and other stress factors. 

Code Compliance & Safety Standards: 

• Familiarity withcommercial codes and regulationssuch asNFPA 30 NFPA 30A andNFPA 407 which are specifically relevant tofuel system designandpiping safety. 

Multidiscipline Coordination: 

• Ability to work withcivilstructural andelectrical engineersto ensure that fuel system designs are integrated properly with other engineering disciplines. 

• Coordinatingpiping designswith structural elements (such as tank foundations) and electrical components (such as fuel pumps and controls). 

Team Collaboration: 

• Having the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while guiding other engineers and technologists is considered a significant advantage. 

• Having the ability to prepare a level of effort estimates and manage the effort spent on industrial engineering tasks in projects and opportunities will be considered an advantage. 

Qualifications :

Qualifications: 

Minimum Requirements: 

• Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 15 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. 

• Fuel system process/piping engineering and/or oil and gas design experience. 

• Experience and ability to use piping any 3D software (i.e. Revit AutoCAD Plant 3D etc.)  AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. 

• Experience working with and coordinating with multidiscipline design teams. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• 15 years of experience in the industrial design (Oil & Gas petrochemical) of various Fuel Systems and Storage Facilities. 

• Familiarity with surge analysis software and experience adjusting piping systems to reduce or remove the potential for pressure surges during system operation. 

• Familiarity with thermal pipe stress analysis software and experience adjusting piping systems to ensure stress levels in the piping systems are following acceptable levels listed in ASME B31.1. 

• Familiarity with hydraulic pipe and fuel pump sizing calculation methods and software. Experience using hand calculations and software to calculate fuel pump motor hp requirements. 

• Familiarity with commercial codes and regulations related to fuel system design such as the IFC NFPA 30 NFPA 30A and NFPA 407. 

• Commercial fuel system design experience.
