One of our clients is looking for an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Business Analyst will work closely with the project team and EHR vendor to support the development functionality rollout and ongoing enhancement of an EHR system. This position will collaborate with stakeholders Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and development teams to ensure the EHR system meets current and future needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements through requirement elicitation strategies.
- Create process flows and diagrams to represent workflows and integration points.
- Collaborate with SMEs project teams and vendors to ensure the EHR system meets business needs.
- Identify and document system gaps brainstorm mitigation plans and collaborate to resolve bottlenecks.
- Facilitate development of integrated workflows and ensure user journeys are wellunderstood.
- Support system validation including test planning execution and results analysis.
- Assist with user acceptance testing and enduser training by developing training materials and demos.
- Provide implementation and maintenance support during rolling golives.
- Develop basic knowledge of Oracle Health tools including Discern Explorer and Cerner Command Language (CCL).
- Communicate risks and issues to project leadership and assist in managing Agile tools.
Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in project planning requirements gathering business analysis and business process mapping.
- Strong problemsolving negotiation conflict resolution and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relational databases (SQL) SDLC methodologies quality assurance techniques and change management procedures.
- Experience with Waterfall Iterative and Agile project management methodologies.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g. Visio SharePoint Teams) and vendor collaboration tools.
- Bachelor s degree in IT Information Systems Computer Science business healthcare administration or equivalent experience.
- Strong attention to detail prioritization and multitasking capabilities in highpressure environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Healthcare Information Systems particularly EHR/EMR implementation (Cerner/Oracle Health preferred).
- Familiarity with HIPAA and the Commonwealth of Virginia Information Security Standard (SEC 530).

- Onsite Requirement: Up to 3 days per week in Richmond VA.
