Job Description
Job Title: Performance Test Analyst/Engineer
Job Location: Remote or Juno Beach FL
Expected Contract Length
Duration: 12 months
Overview:
We are seeking a Performance Test Analyst/Engineer to join our team and assist in commissioning new solar and battery projects. This role involves developing and maintaining analysis tools managing vendors and analyzing the performance of utilityscale solar and battery projects. The successful candidate will grow into a subject matter expert in PV and Battery power plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret stakeholder contracts (PPA GIA EPC OEM).
- Develop test procedures to meet performance requirements.
- Collaborate with commissioning and project teams to troubleshoot and correct performance issues.
- Supervise and direct performance testing.
- Analyze PV and BESS performance test results.
- Calculate system availability from SCADA or onsite testing data.
- Evaluate PV systems performance against modeled performance using PVsyst output.
- Create performance test reports for various audiences.
- Work with stakeholders during the report review process.
- Read interpret and implement industry testing standards.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Ability to write scopes of work and manage thirdparty SMEs/Consultants.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in mathematics computer science or engineering with a minimum of 5 years of technical and management experience.
- 1 years of experience in data analytics preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Software Skills:
- Experience with HMI tools such as Ignition.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as JMP.
- Proficiency in MS Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook and other Office tools.
- Experience with programming languages like Python Java VisualBasic.
