About the job:

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Intern Sports Data Scientist to join our team in Lviv!

This role offers the opportunity to apply data science tools and methodologies in the sports and gambling domain. You will support the development and implementation of datadriven solutions while assisting in improving analytical standards and automation.

This internship follows a structured development plan helping you contribute to business goals while allowing room for experimentation and innovation in finding the best solutions.

What Youll get to do:

• Statistical Analysis Conduct datadriven analysis with guidance from team members.
  Example: Analyze gambling performance trends using statistical models.
• Data Visualization Present insights in a clear and engaging way.
  Example: Track and visualize the progression of a key performance indicator (KPI) throughout a football match.
• Project Support Assist with ongoing research and implementation efforts.
  Example: Identify optimal parameters for existing technical solutions.
• Automation Help streamline and automate analytical processes.
  Example: Develop scheduled processes to monitor model performance automatically.

What You need to know:

• Strong understanding of statistical prediction and probability theory (e.g. regression model fitting).
• Intellectual curiosity creativity and a willingness to experiment.
• Excellent problemsolving and communication skills.
• Ideally some experience with Python or R for data analysis.
• Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a Data Science AI Computer Science Statistics or related program.
• Fluent English skills both written and spoken.
  
  Nice to have (Bonus):

• Familiarity with Bayesian statistics or generalized linear models (GLMs).
• Interest in sports or competitive games.
• Strong Python and/or Java programming skills with exposure to data science.
• SQL knowledge.
• Active Kaggle profile showcasing data science projects.
• Understanding of sports betting concepts.
