Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and safetyconscious Spotter to assist electricians on commercial electrical projects in bigbox retail environments. The spotter will play a critical role in ensuring job site safety by monitoring electricians working on scissor lifts maintaining a hazardfree work area and supporting the team as needed. Each project lasts approximately two weeks before moving on to the next site.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety compliance by monitoring electricians on scissor lifts and maintaining awareness of surroundings to prevent accidents
- Maintain job site awareness by keeping the work area clear of hazards and monitoring pedestrian traffic in active retail locations
- Arrive onsite with all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper use at all times
- Assist electricians with basic tasks as needed such as handling materials relaying instructions and maintaining an organized workspace
- Show up on time every day ready to work and support the team
- Move from project to project every two weeks maintaining consistency and professionalism across different work sites
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a construction or commercial electrical environment is preferred but not required
- Must be safetyminded and aware of proper job site procedures
- Must have reliable transportation to various project sites
- Ability to work in active retail environments with heightened awareness
- Must have required PPE including a hard hat safety vest gloves safety glasses and work boots
- Must be physically capable of standing for long periods and performing light labor tasks
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus but not required
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $22$25 per hour depending on experience
