About the Role:

As a Lead Software QA Engineer you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of QA engineers defining the overall QA strategy and ensuring the delivery of highquality software products. You will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement and innovation within the QA team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:

  • Define and implement the overall QA strategy processes and standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and tools.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with business objectives.

• Team Leadership and Mentoring:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers providing guidance and support.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.

  • Identify training needs and implement training programs to enhance team skills.

• Test Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases.

  • Review test plans with clients to ensure clarity and alignment with project requirements.

  • Provide accurate estimates for testing efforts and regularly review them.

  • Oversee test execution activities ensuring adherence to QA processes and methodologies.

  • Ensure effective bug tracking and timely reporting.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain highquality standards for all testing activities.

  • Perform riskbased testing to identify and mitigate potential issues.

  • Collaborate with development teams to improve software quality and reduce defects.

• Reporting and Analysis:

  • Monitor team performance and provide regular status reports to management.

  • Analyze test results to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

  • Provide detailed reports on QA activities and outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and concepts.

  • Extensive experience in leading and mentoring QA teams.

  • Proficiency in test case design execution and defect tracking.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

Certifications (for advancement):

• ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) Certification.

• Certifications in relevant tools such as Selenium or Appium are advantageous for automation testing roles
