Mize is a Fintechtravel startup that uses highend technology to solve some of the huge challenges of the evolving travel industry and provide real financial value to our network of clients including more than 140 international clients generating $14 Billion in sales annually.
Our headquarters are in Tel Aviv and we have offices in Argentina Spain the UK the US and India. Each team member is an allaround player that influences the product from the overall experience to the development and youll be no different.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lawyer with a strong background in the hightech industry and a minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial legal work. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of legal matters related to commercial transactions contracts regulatory compliance and corporate governance. This role requires a proactive legal professional who can work collaboratively with internal teams mitigate risks and support the company s business growth.
What you will do:
- Contract Drafting Negotiation and Management
- Draft review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including SaaS agreements software licensing vendor agreements NDAs and partnership agreements.
- Provide legal support for sales procurement and business development teams to ensure contracts align with business objectives and risk management strategies.
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline legal processes.
2. Compliance and Regulatory Matters
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws industry regulations and corporate policies.
- Stay uptodate with changes in legal and regulatory landscapes affecting the hightech industry including data privacy laws (GDPR CCPA etc.).
- Provide guidance on intellectual property (IP) protection including trademarks copyrights and trade secrets.
3. Corporate Governance and Risk Management
- Support corporate governance matters including board resolutions corporate policies and subsidiary management.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations and new market expansion.
- Develop strategies to resolve potential disputes and manage litigation risks.
4. CrossFunctional Legal Support
- Collaborate with Finance HR Product Corp Dev Biz Dev Sales and compliance teams to provide legal insights on strategic initiatives.
- Support employment law matters including drafting employment contracts and policies.
- Advise on data privacy cybersecurity and technologyrelated legal issues.
Requirements :
- Law degree (LL.B J.D.) and a valid legal license
- 4 years of experience in commercial legal work preferably in the hightech industry (inhouse or at a leading law firm)
- Strong experience in drafting negotiating and managing technologyrelated commercial contracts
- Indepth knowledge of contract law corporate law intellectual property and data privacy regulations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in businessfriendly terms
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a proactive and businessoriented approach
