The client is looking for an Application Architect II contractor
Will close to submissions on 02/07/2025 at 4:00PM CST.
Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:

1. 15 years of Web and clientserver application development experience including requirements gathering design coding testing implementation and support
2. 15 years of experience in MVC framework
3. 15 years of C#.NET experience. First 5 years ASP/.NET is acceptable.

Please note candidates MUST meet the 15 years experience requirement or the manager will not consider them for the role.
Nice to Have Skills:

1. GCP AWS or Azure Cloud experience
2. Docker SonarQube PostgreSQL experience
3. Previous experience providing this service for government a plus and experience with DWDs environments will be especially valuable.

Duration of the Contract: 06/30/2025 with potential for multiyear extensions

Onsite or Remote Candidate MUST be a WI resident or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting the role. This position can work 100% remote (within the state of WI).
Project details: This position is needed for the development of critical priority modernization projects effort in the Division of Unemployment Insurance. Project work will include: application architecture design and development development of user stories quarterly planning strategies product roadmaps and other key strategic deliverables; selection and review of on premise and cloud tools and technology; code reviews and work item reviews to ensure that they meet the departments technical objectives and are compliant with required security requirements; and intheweeds development using a variety of languages and tools.

Brief Project Description:

This is a contract position needed for the development of critical priority modernization projects effort in the Division of Unemployment Insurance. Candidates will play an integral role in providing technical strategy and contractual oversight on work performed by teams as part of modernization development effort. Project work will include: application architecture design and development development of user stories quarterly planning strategies product roadmaps and other key strategic deliverables; selection and review of on premis and cloud tools and technology; code reviews and work item reviews to ensure that they meet the departments technical objectives and are compliant with required security requirements; and intheweeds development using a variety of languages and tools. Successful candidates will have demonstrated success in designing creating and maintaining web services system integration web development and Agile Scrum development methodology.

Additional Comments:

Currently on prem we are on .Net 4.8 and targeting new applications to be on .Net 8
Previous work experience in government insurance accounting or case management systems a plus.
Experience working in a Google Cloud Platform preferred. Some experience working with z/OS preferred.
The successful candidate will be highly technically competent a consistently high producer a good communicator and an overall team player. All candidates submitted with inconsistencies or falsifications in their credentials will be disqualified and DOA purchasing will be notified.
