Job Position: Mechanical Assembly
Pay Range: $16.00 $19.00/hr
Shift/Hours: Monday Friday 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Location: Pryor OK
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Pryor OK. In this role you will be responsible for producing components by assembling various parts and subassemblies. Candidates must complete tape measure and mechanical assessments prior to consideration. Please visit one of our StandBy Personnel locations for assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation: Prepare work by studying assembly instructions blueprints specifications and parts lists; gather all required parts subassemblies tools and materials.
- Assembly Tasks: Perform tasks to assemble metal components subassemblies and complete units following work orders production drawings sample assemblies or verbal instructions.
- Fabrication: Assemble fabricated parts into large or heavy subassemblies and complete units.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints/drawings as needed; test and calibrate parts to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Tool Usage: Utilize hand tools power tools welding equipment and machinery to attach bolt press drill and hammer components ensuring they meet specified dimensional characteristics.
- Quality Control: Conduct online go/nogo testing and inspections using measuring instruments and test equipment to ensure that parts and assemblies meet production standards.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Experience: Must be able to perform all duties satisfactorily with minimal supervision.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings is essential.
- Math Skills: Proficient in basic math operationsaddition subtraction multiplication and divisionusing whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
- Physical Requirements: Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
