Job Description
- Monitor and document student progress adjusting teaching strategies as needed to meet IEP goals.
- Foster a positive and structured learning environment that encourages student growth and independence.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and ensure inclusivity within the classroom.
- Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction to students with varying abilities in both individual and group settings.
- Communicate regularly with parents caregivers and multidisciplinary teams to provide updates on student progress and address concerns.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
- Valid Illinois Teaching Certification with an endorsement in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferably in a K12 setting.
- Strong understanding of child development learning disabilities and behavior management techniques.
