Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Engineer (Electrical) to join our dynamic team in Leicester England. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining troubleshooting and improving the performance of electrical systems and machinery to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance inspections and repairs of electrical systems and machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company protocols during all electrical works.
- Collaborate with other engineering and production teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and provide detailed reports.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.
- Stay updated on the latest electrical engineering practices and technologies.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Shift Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems schematics and equipment.
- NVQ Level 3 HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work effectively in a shiftbased system.
- Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to electrical works.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PLC systems and automation.
- Additional certifications in electrical safety or related areas.
