Job Description

On behalf of our client a successful local golf course we are recruiting an experienced Bookkeeper to join their growing team.

This position is a great opportunity for someone with exceptional organizational skills and an ability to handle a wide range of tasks concurrently effectively and accurately. You will be managing daytoday accounting and finance requirements within a closeknit and unique environment. An ability to work independently is a must!

Salary:
$50000 $65000 per year (depending upon experience)

Hours of Work:
Monday to Thursday 9:00am 5:00pm (32 hours per week)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Accurately record and maintain financial transactions in Quickbooks and other software as applicable.
  • Preparation of cheques and electronic payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements general ledgers and balance sheets.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payables and accounts receivables.
  • Monitor office expenses as well as tally and enter cash receipts.
  • Completion of WSIB and HST returns.
  • Process and verify payroll utilizing Ceridian.
  • Assist with monthly and yearend closing procedures.
  • Generate financial reports in a timely and efficient manner.
  • General office management assistance including document retrieval data entry filing paperwork etc.
  • Other ad hoc responsibilities as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience with bookkeeping / accounting is required.
  • Experience working with Quickbooks is a strong asset.
  • Knowledge of the basics: A/P A/R preparing cheque and electronic payments WSIB and HST returns.
  • Experience utilizing Ceridian for payroll needs is helpful.
  • Office 365 (Outlook Word Excel OneNote) is key.
  • Ability to multitask with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent data entry and computer skills are important.
  • Professional and respect of confidentiality is essential.
  • Will work independently at times and must be selfmotivated.
