As a Senior Data Engineer you will:
- Be a key member of an agile team working on the design and development of a Snowflake Lakehouse.
- Produce highquality reusable code and components for backend systems with focus on high availability scalability and security.
- Work with containerization CI/CD and other automation technologies to ensure seamless deployment and manageability.
- Collaborate throughout the product development cycle from design to implementation testing documentation and deployment.
- Lead and mentor junior colleagues establishing coding standards and guidelines to maintain high quality.
- Respond to operational incidents conduct root cause analysis and implement changes to prevent recurrence.
- Manage and develop data persistence environments (data lakes storage etc.) ensuring secure and efficient data access for users.
- Monitor systems for uptime performance and troubleshoot issues when required.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 5 years of experience building and managing production systems/platforms.
- Expertise in Python Linux and Snowflake (Snowpark Snowpipe Stored Procedures).
- Strong background in scripting/automation using Python or Bash.
- Proficiency in using version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g. Step Functions SQS SNS S3 EventBridge).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker ECS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Solid knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps tools (Gitlab testing).
- Understanding of testdriven development and ensuring highquality code.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work autonomously while being a collaborative team player.
