Job Description
Our client a wellknown medical facility is currently looking for a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse PICU to be based in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. In this role your duties and responsibilities would include but not limited to:
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive ageappropriate nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients including assessing planning implementing and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Monitoring and Assessment: Continuously monitor vital signs lab results and clinical condition of patients in the PICU. Detect and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with pediatric intensivists respiratory therapists social workers and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Family Support: Provide emotional support and education to families of pediatric patients. Serve as a liaison between medical staff and families explaining medical procedures and ensuring families are informed and involved in care decisions.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient assessments interventions progress and any changes in condition in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Patient Safety: Adhere to infection control protocols patient safety guidelines and hospital procedures. Identify and report any potential safety hazards.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in pediatric nursing care. Participate in continuing education and clinical training and contribute to the development of unit protocols.
- Quality Improvement: Actively engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in case reviews audits and other activities aimed at enhancing care standards in the PICU.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent.
- Valid nursing license in Saudi Arabia or eligibility for licensures.
- Minimum of 2 years of Clinical Nursing experience.
- Must be eligible to take the SCFHS exam.
- Must have PALS and BLS.
- Current license as a professional registered nurse.
- Proficient in English
