Collaborate closely with frontend developers to gather and understand their database requirements.
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries stored procedures cursors indexes transactions functions
and triggers to ensure efficient database performance.
Perform thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency in database development.
Handle the demands of hightraffic application servers ensuring reliable and scalable database operations.
Oversee daily project activities and team management ensuring smooth and effective execution of tasks.
Engage in proactive and effective communication with clients to address their needs and ensure their
satisfaction.
Background and Experience
Bachelors degree in computer science Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information
Technology or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
4 to 6 years of experience working as a PostgreSQL Database Developer or similar role.
Proven experience with database design development and performance tuning in PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL.
Strong knowledge of database indexing partitioning and query optimization techniques.
Experience with data modeling tools (e.g. ER/Studio DbSchema).
Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools.
Knowledge of other database systems (e.g. MSSQL Oracle) is a plus.
