Job Description
Principal in residence for only 6 weeks of the year is looking for a dedicated proactive and capable domestic couple to care for a large Georgian house with extensive grounds on the banks of Lough Corrib County Galway.
The role involves all housekeeping duties to a high standard including laundry ironing etc. Cooking would be a bonus but is not essential as a Chef will be employed when the principal is in residence. Partner to look after the grounds all general garden maintenance keeping the lawns and driveway neat and tidy and being aware of any house maintenance issues that need addressing and fixing (with or without contractors).
Caretaker/security support is also employed due to frequent periods of unoccupancy.
Ideal candidates will have EU passports/legally allowed to work in Ireland as well as a solid background in private service. One driver is essential car provided on and off duty. Separate accommodation provided in the village.
Days and hours worked according to what is necessary to keep everything to a high standard (can be MonFri 40hrs) with longer hours/days needed when principal is in residence (taking time off during the extensive quiet periods).
