This is a remote position.
SALES MANAGER RAIL / MARINE
Our client is a specialist for intelligent drive technology and systems. Their customers are in diverse industries such as oil and gas energy mining ship technology rail and commercial vehicles. They are looking to employ on a fulltime permanent basis a Sales Manager focusing on the Rail and Marine sectors of their business. This is a work from home opportunity with the Company premises in based in Croydon.
Drug and Alcohol related medical for all New Employees upon starting.
Sales Manager Rail / Marine The Offer

£45k to £55k depending on experience
- Company vehicle

Hours are MonThurs 08:30 to 16:30 and Fri 08:30 to 15:30 a 36.5hour week

25 days annual leave

Sales Manager Rail / Marine The Role
.
Develop sales and marketing of service packages and spare parts in UK for Company products.
.
Work within the team to formulate drive and manage the development and execution of the Company rail and marine Sales Strategy to attract and expand new and existing business.
.
Maintain and build strategic alliances with key end users OEMs ROSCOs TOCs and Service Providers
.
Review and prepare quotations tenders and commercial enquiries to secure a sustainable growth in sales.
.
Provide technical support to new and existing customers.
.
Prepare and participate in product presentations to customers and at exhibitions.
.
Review and report on market requirements and development.
.
Excellent knowledge of the UK rail industry.
.
Excellent understanding of mechanical rail components; electrical systems knowledge would also be an advantage.
.
Good experience of key account manages and/or business development.
.
Developed clients contacts in the rail industry.
.
Able to create a healthy pipeline and deliver sales orders.
.
Able to prepare commercial offers with the support of the organization engineering procurement etc.
.
Good grasp of commercial and contract negotiation.
.
Able to work on his/her own and contribute the team goals.
Sales Manager Rail / Marine The Person
.
Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent such as HNC
.
Proven experience of proactive approach to produce new business opportunities.
.
>5 years of experience in Sales in the UK rail sector is essential. Marine industry experience would be beneficial.
.
Strong contacts in the UK rail industry
.
Able to produce Sales KPIs
.
Good presentation skills Ability to work under own initiative.
.
Excellent communication skills required.
