Position Summary:
Our esteemed client is a leading FitOut & TurnKey Contracting Firm that is renowned for its expertise in the construction & fitout field for its Quality Timeliness & Attention to Detail. We are looking for an MEP Engineer who will be responsible for the design implementation and maintenance of mechanical electrical and plumbing systems for various construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with expertise in MEP systems design and construction processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical electrical and plumbing systems for residential commercial and industrial buildings.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings specifications and reports for MEP systems.
- Coordinate the design process with architects structural engineers and other design professionals to ensure the integration of MEP systems into building plans.
- Oversee the construction and installation of MEP systems ensuring compliance with project specifications timelines and budgets.
- Manage contractors subcontractors and vendors involved in MEP work to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the construction team throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site inspections and perform system testing to ensure systems are functioning efficiently and meeting performance standards.
- Troubleshoot issues with MEP systems during the installation phase and in the postconstruction phases.
- Monitor energy consumption and propose energyefficient solutions for ongoing optimization.
- Ensure all MEP designs and installations comply with local building codes safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to prevent accidents and ensure safety during system installation.
- Work closely with other engineering disciplines architects and project managers to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Communicate technical details and updates to clients contractors and stakeholders ensuring clarity and project alignment.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of GCC experience.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant software (AutoCAD Revit BIM etc.) for designing MEP systems.
- Experience with HVAC electrical power distribution lighting systems plumbing fire protection and other essential MEP components.
