A Leading Retail company is looking for
The successful candidate will be responsible for Accounts Executive with experience in handling daytoday accounting operations including maintaining financial records processing transactions and ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements. This role plays a key part in supporting the finance team in maintaining the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Manage and process supplier invoices purchase orders and payments.
- Ensure timely collection of payments from customers and resolve outstanding balances.
- Reconcile customer and supplier accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial data.
- Record journal entries and ensure proper coding of transactions.
- Reconcile accounts including bank statements and credit card transactions.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and report on financial performance identifying discrepancies and areas for improvement.
- Prepare VAT/GST returns sales tax filings and other taxrelated documents.
Inventory and Cost Control:
- Collaborate with the inventory team to ensure accurate recording of stock and cost of goods sold.
- Support periodic stock takes and inventory valuation.
- Monitor and track retail expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Compliance & Auditing:
- Ensure all accounting processes and documentation comply with internal policies and relevant regulations.
- Assist with internal and external audits providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
Other Responsibilities:
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth coordination on financial matters.
- Provide general accounting support to the finance team.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role preferably in the retail sector.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles Book Keeping and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. TALLY ERP SAP Microsoft Excel) and Microsoft Office Suite.
