Job Description
As an AU Civil Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Engineering Design & Construction Oversight: Design and manage civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
- CAD Software Utilization: Create detailed engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD ProgeCAD or similar software.
- Client Communication: Regularly interact with clients to understand their needs provide expert recommendations and offer solutions.
- Soil Test Analysis: Interpret soil test results to determine the most suitable foundation solutions for various projects including pool bases.
- Material Specifications: Calculate and specify the materials required for construction particularly for pool base structures and related works.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members and the Managing Director to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and meet highquality standards.
- Documentation & Project Management: Maintain detailed project records and documentation on SharePoint and other platforms.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry standards and emerging best practices in civil engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
- At least 5 years of working experience as a Civil Engineer.
- Full qualifications as a Civil Engineer even if not recognized in Australia.
- Experience in mechanical engineering ideally with knowledge of both civil and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD/ProgeCAD or similar) for engineering design and drafting.
- Familiarity with interpreting soil test reports and applying findings to determine foundation requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to interpret and produce technical documents emails and spreadsheets.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration tools.
- Experience with SharePoint for maintaining project documentation is a plus.
- Previous experience in pool construction or similar industries.
- Experience working in an Australian engineering context (preferred but not mandatory).
