QA Specialist

Roles and responsibilities

As the QA specialist for the marketplace fulfillment center, you will be responsible to ensure quality control on inbound deliveries & outbound orders from the fulfillment center, ensuring a high percentage of accuracy on both.

(Some of) What you will be doing:

• Order Accuracy Verification

• Inspect and verify the accuracy of picked, packed, and labeled orders against purchase orders or invoices.
• Ensure all outbound items meet the correct specifications, including quantity, size, SKU, and other order details.

• Quality Control

• Perform checks to identify damaged, defective, or incorrect items before shipment.
• Ensure packaging is secure, presentable, and compliant with company and client standards.

• Process Auditing

• Conduct random audits on outbound shipments to evaluate process compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain detailed logs of quality inspections, findings, and corrective actions.

• Teamwork

• Work closely with the picking, packing, and shipping teams to address any errors or issues in real time.
• Provide feedback and training to team members to enhance quality practices.

• Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare regular reports on QA metrics, including error rates, recurring issues, and resolution timelines.
• Document findings and escalate unresolved or recurring quality concerns to management.

• Compliance

• Ensure that all quality control activities comply with company policies and relevant industry standards.
• Stay updated on marketplace-specific fulfillment and shipping guidelines.

Desired candidate profile

High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus).
Minimum of 2 years in a quality assurance, logistics, or warehouse operations role, preferably in a fulfillment or distribution center.
Exceptional focus and accuracy in inspecting items and processes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
Ability to identify errors, and recommend practical solutions.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office).
Capability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
Quality Assurance and Testing Expertise:

Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices, and standards.
Hands-on experience with manual testing and automated testing.
Proficiency in testing techniques such as regression testing, functional testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and the role of QA in different phases of the cycle.
Test Planning and Execution:

Ability to design, develop, and execute test plans, ensuring all test scenarios and cases are aligned with project requirements.
Experience in preparing test scripts and automating tests to ensure product quality across different systems, applications, and environments.
Expertise in identifying, recording, and tracking defects, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring issues are resolved.
