The Secondary Principal provides strategic leadership and operational management to ensure the effective delivery of highquality education within the secondary school. This role involves fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment promoting academic excellence and aligning school operations with the institutions mission vision and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Provide strategic leadership to the secondary school team ensuring alignment with the school s overall goals and objectives.
- Oversee daily operations of the secondary school including academic programs extracurricular activities and administrative functions.
- Foster a positive school culture focused on collaboration innovation and high standards of achievement.
Academic Excellence:
- Develop implement and monitor the secondary school curriculum to ensure it meets educational standards and student needs.
- Promote instructional best practices and provide professional development opportunities for teachers.
- Analyze student performance data to drive improvements in teaching and learning outcomes.
Student Development:
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment that supports the academic emotional and social wellbeing of all students.
- Work with teachers and counselors to address individual student needs including academic challenges and behavioral concerns.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities and leadership programs to foster holistic development.
Staff Supervision and Development:
- Recruit mentor and evaluate secondary school staff ensuring high levels of performance and professional growth.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide constructive feedback to improve instructional quality.
- Encourage a collaborative and supportive professional environment among teachers and staff.
Communication and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a key point of contact for parents students and staff maintaining clear and transparent communication.
- Organize parentteacher meetings and community events to foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Represent the secondary school in internal and external forums promoting its achievements and values.
Policy and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local education regulations accreditation standards and school policies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the effective functioning of the secondary school.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to support school operations.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on educational trends technologies and innovations to enhance school programs.
- Lead efforts to evaluate and improve school performance through datadriven decisionmaking.
- Promote a culture of lifelong learning among students and staff.
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor degree (Major related to Education). Online degrees are not accepted.
Valid teaching certificate
Candidate with IB DP and PYP experience and certificate required for IB positions
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in international schools is preferred.
