Job Summary
IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the hospitals IT infrastructure including hardware software and networks. They ensure system reliability security and optimal performance
Responsibilities
1. Manage and maintain the hospital s IT infrastructure including networks servers and software applications.
2. Provide technical support to staff ensuring minimal downtime and efficient use of IT resources.
3. Implement and monitor IT security measures to safeguard hospital data and systems.
4. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT support and maintenance.
5. Install configure and maintain hardware and software systems.
6. Manage network security and ensure data protection measures are in place.
7. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot IT issues.
8. Conduct regular backups and disaster recovery drills.
9. Implement and enforce IT policies and procedures.
10. Provide technical support and training to staff.
11. Ensure compliance with IT policies data protection regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field Specific Certification or Licenses: CompTIA A Network Security certifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator Associate certifications Specific
Skills and Experience Levels:
Minimum of 2 years experience in security management preferably in a healthcare setting
Strong understanding of computer hardware and software
Proficiency in network administration and troubleshooting
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with healthcare IT systems and regulations (HIPAA) is preferred.
