Assistant Service Manager
Reports to: Service Manager
Summary: The Assistant Service Manager will act reliably and professionally to support Signal s Service department needs. Support includes but is not limited to assisting the Service Manager with administration of the technicians and general operation of the department both in the office and out in the field if needed.
Essential Functions:
Manage personnel to include scheduling evaluation disciplinary action.
Recruit and hire new personnel with assistance from the Service Manager.
Critical thinking for both department management and department sales.
Material procurement and planning.
Inventory tracking and accuracy.
Execution of training plans developed by the team.
Care for and follow up with customers in a proactive professional manner maintaining the company s industryleading reputation.
Assist Service Manager with the general operation needs of the department on an ongoing and as needed basis.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word Excel etc.)
Punctual in all aspects of the job including deadline management and timely completion
Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects and manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment with impeccable accuracy and attention to detail
Upbeat and positive attitude
Prior demonstrated interpersonal communication skills with specializations in motivation accountability and conflict resolution.
Demonstrated ability to effectively problem solve
Exemplary organizational and time management skills
Previous experience in administration required previous industry experience preferred
Ability to adapt and remain flexible while looking for opportunities to increase and maintain operational efficiency
Job requirements:
Company hours of operation 8 am 5 pm. Monday Friday.
High school diploma GED or equivalent required.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer when not working in the field.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the technician job (standing and walking for long periods of time lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.) with or without an accommodation.
Prior supervisory experience of at least 24 years required.
Reliable transportation.
Time in the field to learn and assist with the work performed by technicians.
Mechanical ability required.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions when working in the field.
Strong work ethic.
Commitment to safety rules.
