Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized detailoriented Assistant Controller Administrator to join our finance team. This role will support the Controller in overseeing financial operations ensuring the seamless execution of daytoday accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be an experienced accounting professional looking to expand their career in financial management within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee and process vendor invoices ensuring timely payments are made.
- Track and manage outstanding receivables supporting collections efforts as needed.
- Conduct regular audits of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting Support:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and report on actual performance compared to budgeted amounts identifying and explaining variances.
- Internal Controls:
- Support the maintenance of strong internal controls to safeguard financial data.
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- General Accounting Support:
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with company policies.
- Prepare supporting documentation for the annual financial audit.
- Assist with bank and credit card account reconciliations.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Controller including scheduling document management and interdepartmental communications.
- Manage accounting correspondence handling inquiries from vendors customers and internal teams.
- Assist in the maintenance of accounting software and systems to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 13 years of experience in accounting or finance preferably in a corporate or administrative role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
