Job Description
Prime Response Inc. is seeking a qualified Supply Technician to support material management and handling processes for our customer at the United States Air Force Academy. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of materials maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting missioncritical operations.
Pay rate is $28.72/hour plus the Health and Welfare (H&W) rate of $7.34/hour to be used towards any selected benefits. There is also a 4% Hazardous Pay differential on hours worked as a separate lineitem payment in your check. (For an 80hour paycheck it equates to $91.90 in HAZ pay). FYI a scheduled hourly rate and H&W increase will be effective 4/1/2025 per the CBA.
- Material Management and Handling:
- Perform requisition receipt issue storage inspection inventory records updates delivery and shipment of materials.
- Ensure materials are handled correctly and safely in compliance with regulations and standards.
- Account Management:
- Brief commanders and custodians on their responsibilities for managing custody accounts.
- Conduct regular inventories to ensure accountability and accuracy of materials.
- Perform inspections to verify the condition and proper storage of materials.
- Records and Documentation:
- Process materials for disposition through the Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services.
- Maintain accurate and accountable documentation for all material management activities.
- Ancillary Duties:
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with snow removal and vegetation control as needed to support operational requirements.
Requirements
- Must be available for paid on call and standby responses
- Experience in material management inventory control or supply chain processes.
- Knowledge of supply procedures policies and regulations.
- Ability to operate materialhandling equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using inventory and logistics management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Candidates must be able to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks including lifting snow removal and vegetation control.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with military supply or logistics operations
- Familiarity with Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services processes.
- Current security clearance or ability to obtain one.
