Job Description

DeHart Recycling Equipment Inc.

Position: Service Technician


The Service Technician is responsible for servicing industrial machinery for proper operation at the customer location in a timely and costeffective manner so that all requirements are met.


Responsibilities

Diagnose troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment including electrical hydraulics and light welding; ensuring that positive relationships are established.

Operate hand tools power tools and forklift

Account for all parts materials tools and consumables used as required

Process required paperwork promptly including accurate service reports

Perform service activities at customer sites some overnight travel

Regular attendance and timeliness

Assist with shop production jobs based on business needs

Provide excellent customer service by effectively managing customer expectations

Communicate and interact positively with customers vendors managers and fellow employees

Attend required training sessions as appropriate


Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude

Experience knowledge of industrial electrical

Ability to comprehend operation manuals basic designs electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of programmable logic controllers especially AllenBradley SLC MicroLogix and CompactLogix is desired

A valid Class E or commercial driver s license with a clean driving record

Attention to detail

Selfmotivated with the ability to work well unsupervised

Willingness to train in company programs to enhance his or her knowledge

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a team environment and independently

Legally eligible to work in the United States


Education/Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of handson technical experience with mechanical hydraulic and/or electrical components

Experience within the industrial maintenance heavy equipment industries

HS Diploma or GED





Service, troubleshooting, repair of hydraulic equipment Strong mechanical and electrical experience

Education

HS Diploma
