Job Description
Plant Controller
Responsibilities:
- Develops and recommends corporate economic strategies objectives and policies to management.
- Prepares reports summarizing and forecasting company business activities including income expenses and earnings based on past present and future operations.
- Leads the preparation of budgets reviews budget proposals and provides necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Provides timely financial status updates and progress reports to management on organizational programs and activities.
- Oversees the determination of depreciation rates for capital assets.
- Advises management on necessary operational adjustments related to tax code revisions.
- Coordinates audits of company accounts prepares reports for regulatory agencies and compiles the fiscal yearend audit binder.
- Approves accounts payable vouchers and signs checks.
- Prepares SRP and monthend reports.
- Manages payroll processing through ADP.
- Directly supervises the Finance Department team.
- Ensures all managerial responsibilities align with organizational policies and legal requirements including interviewing hiring training assigning work performance appraisals employee discipline and problem resolution.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Ability to read analyze and interpret business periodicals professional journals technical procedures and government regulations.
- Proficiency in writing reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Effective presentation skills to communicate with managers clients and customers.
- Ability to calculate financial figures such as discounts interest commissions percentages area circumference and volume.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or two to four years of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing accounting environment.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
