Job Description
Do you seek to make an impact in the world of analytical chemistry We have an opportunity for an Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic Supplements and Feeds team. Based in Fordham Cambridgeshire you will engage in innovative analysis on a diverse range of product matrices. You will play a pivotal role in testing products for substances prohibited in sport and verifying key nutritional parameters such as protein content. Our testing and Informed certification programmes support elite athletes manufacturers and general consumers ensuring outstanding standards of quality and safety.
Tasks include:
- Performing extraction techniques Solid phase extraction liquid/liquid and automated liquid handling.
- Using highspec analytical instrumentation for chromatography and mass spectrometry GCMS/MS LCMS/MS and HRAM.
- Performing instrumental analysis to verify protein content.
- Data analysis and review using TraceFinder and Masshunter applications.
- Strictly adhering to protocols within an ISO17025 accredited laboratory.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of BSc in Chemistry (or equivalent experience) graduates are welcome to apply.
- Proven experience with LCMS and GCMS techniques.
- Experience with highresolution accurate mass (HRAM) is desirable.
- Familiarity with ISO 17025/GLP standards is desirable.
- Experience of working in a food testing or analytical laboratory would be advantageous.
