DBT Snowflake Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design build and maintain efficient and scalable data transformation pipelines using DBT on Snowflake. 
• Work closely with data analysts and engineers to understand data requirements and develop transformation models. 
• Optimize DBT models for performance and costefficiency ensuring highquality reliable data for analytics. 
• Automate and manage data workflows ensuring timely and accurate data delivery. 
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration of data transformations within the data architecture. 
• Monitor and troubleshoot DBT and Snowflakerelated issues identifying performance bottlenecks and resolving errors. 
• Ensure data quality through automated testing validation and documentation within DBT models. 
• Maintain clear documentation for DBT pipelines and Snowflake architecture to enable transparency and team collaboration.

Qualifications :

• 35 years of experience working with DBT and Snowflake in a data engineering or analytics role. 
• Proficiency in SQL and strong understanding of data modeling techniques. 
• Experience in building testing and optimizing DBT models and workflows in Snowflake. 
• Familiarity with cloudbased data warehouses particularly Snowflake including data loading querying and optimization. 
• Solid understanding of data pipeline orchestration scheduling and automation. 
• Handson experience in version control systems such as Git. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. 
• Written and spoken fluency in English with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively. 

Nice to have:

• Experience with other data transformation tools (e.g. Apache Airflow Talend). 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud. 
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks and best practices. 
• Experience working in agile or fastpaced development environments. 
• Knowledge of Python or other programming languages for data processing.
