Job Description

Graduate Planner

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Graduate Planner to join our construction team. You will play a key role in supporting the planning and scheduling of complex construction projects including infrastructure energy and largescale development schemes. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career while contributing to the successful delivery of highprofile projects in a dynamic environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling: Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules using industrystandard planning software. Support the preparation of baseline programs progress updates and reporting to ensure project milestones are met. Conduct site visits to gather data and monitor project progress against the schedule.

Project Support: Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including engineers project managers and contractors to ensure effective project planning and execution. Support in the preparation of planning reports lookahead schedules and programme risk analysis. Assist in the identification and mitigation of potential project risks and delays.

Technical Assurance: Ensure project schedules comply with contractual obligations industry standards and best practices. Participate in planning reviews and implement feedback to optimise project timelines.

Innovation and Efficiency: Incorporate innovative planning methodologies and tools to improve project efficiency and delivery. Assist in the use of digital planning solutions such as 4D modelling and BIM integration.

Continuous Development: Engage in training and development programs to build expertise in project planning and construction management. Stay updated with industry trends planning techniques and regulatory changes.

Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6 Microsoft Project or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with infrastructure or energy projects (e.g. highways rail renewables).
  • Understanding of delay analysis techniques and risk management.
  • Experience with 4D planning and Building Information Modelling (BIM).
