Job Description

HR Business Partner

Location: Based atHaydock and Preston with travel to our Westlakes and Egremont sites

Job type: Permanent / Full time

Overview of the role:

As we continue to expand our workforce and grow our business this new role will play a key part in the shaping of our HR function and supporting our line managers to deliver and embed the people initiatives.

Youll be a trusted advisor to our line managers in all stages of the employee lifecycle including day to day support in employee relations matters including performance management absence management wellbeing and when needed discipline and grievance.

What youll be responsible for:

  • Managing the new employee onboarding process and welcoming new employees to the team
  • Building effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure people initiatives are delivered against the companys objectives
  • Supporting line managers in the management of absence including close management of ongoing sickness issues
  • Supporting line managers in a coaching and advisory capacity with employee relations matters such as disciplinary and grievance cases
  • Manage the performance review process ensuring employees and managers are aware of and engaged in the cycle to drive performance improvement and development of individuals
  • Support employee learning and development in line with the companys competency framework and objectives for growth

What youll bring:

  • Youll be an HR Generalist and ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified (or equivalent) and have practical experience in a similar HR role.
  • Youll have experience of managing and driving HR initiatives with a proven capability of embedding these successfully
  • Youll have worked in a multisite environment and understand the need for HR visibility and a positive HR presence
  • Youll have a proven background in adding value and maximising operational efficiencies
  • Youll be able to demonstrate good relationship management skills at managerial and key stakeholder level.
  • Youll be able to demonstrate effective coaching and mentoring skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience of interpreting people data into actions to support achievement of the companys objectives
  • If you have experience of working in a highly regulated industry that would be advantageous
